Part of a film series on typical types of automobile crashes and their causes, this films starts with a goofy sequence with Bonnie and Clyde-type characters.
Like many films made to address social woes (drugs, teen pregnancy, shoplifting) driverÂ’’s education films were often cautionary tales where people were punished for their mistakes. The challenge of these films was to get their audiences to identify with the characters and situations on the screen. Especially hard were teenage audiences who were often behind the wheel with a foolhardy sense of immortality and disrespect for authority.
