One Response to “Attack From Space (1964)”

  1. admin

This film had probably the best fight scene ever filmed. Towards the end of the film there was ten minutes of Starman doing somersaults, beating up bad guys, kicking and throwing bodies upstairs, shooting them with their own guns, and flexing his arm muscles as seen above in the picture. Brilliant!

Sudden Birth (circa 1960s)

This film was made to instruct police officers on the basics of childbirth and to show them an actual birth – mostly so they wouldn’t panic or pass out when confronted with such a scenario. WARNING! The poor acting by actual police officers and doctors and low production values in this film make the live birth scene even more shocking than others from this genre.

A Very Special DVD

While devoting an entire DVD to films about the developmentally-disabled (mentally handicapped, retarded) might seem like an odd (maybe even inappropriate) theme, but these films provide insight into our culture’s view of the handicapped and the real-life problems that care providers must address. You can tell a lot
about a society by how it treats its handicapped- World of the Right Size, Teaching the Mentally Retarded, I’m Ready Mom, Are You?, Board and Care, Selling One Guy Named Larry.
