At first I was thrilled by this. But then I found out you can only access this collection with iTunes. I can’t use iTunes. I wont’ use iTunes. So, ultimately I can’t access any of this. Very short sighted.

I hear your concerns. For right now, iTunes is the only way to access the material, but Duke is looking to find other ways to make the ads available.

Let us know when they do. Don’t get me wrong. It’s great news that they’re making these available to the public. I guess I’ll just have to wait a little longer. Or find away to access it without iTunes.

I concur entirely. You’ve done God’s work by digitizing these ads, but I refuse to be limited by viewing these in Itunes only. Whatever happened to good old MPEG 2? It’s an open file format and good quality. Until these become easier to view and use, I’m sorry but they will sadly remain unseen by me and many others.
