A/V Geeks

February 5, 2010
7:00 pmto9:00 pm

2010Since we showed 2001 – A Space Odyssey in the year 2001, of course, we have to show the follow up film in 2010. This sequel answers some of the questions left by the first film when a  joint American-Soviet space expedition is sent to Jupiter to learn what happened to the Discovery. Stars Roy Scheider, John Lithgow and Helen Mirren. Show up early to get a good seat and see a short from the A/V Geeks collection. Admission is FREE.

7pm, Friday, February 5th, NC Museum of Natural Sciences 11 W. Jones St., Raleigh, NC

Purely Coincidental (ca 1970s)

February 5, 2010
7:00 pmto9:00 pm

This film, aimed at food factory employees, lays on the heavy melodrama to make its point about the food safety. Guilt, assembly lines of food products and a dramatic soundtrack make this an A/V Geek’s favorite.

This film is available on the Educational Archive Volume Four : On The Job DVD
