		<description>I never knew where the monologue &quot;Please God, I&#039;m Only Seventeen&quot; came from until now. (Never thought about it, actually:)) The monologue was a favorite at my school in the early 90s, and one girl seemed to trot it out every time she was reading for a dramatic part in one of the drama club plays. 

The message of early death behind the wheel is timeless enough that it could stand a redo with a texting teen driver as the doomed one. God knows there are enough stories of people dying because they were too busy asking some buddy &#039;wat r u doin&#039; instead of looking at the traffic.</description>
